Chris SILBER - Writer, Director, Showrunner, Producer
is a bilingual writer and filmmaker raised in London and Berlin and based in the US since 2008. He is an International Emmy winner and has worked on numerous successful films worldwide – most notably the Golden Globe and Bafta nominated Goodbye Lenin, critically acclaimed Alpine drama North Face, Sound Of Music-inspired biopic The Von Trapp Family and the inspirational New York romance "My Last Day Without You", which he also co-produced. Screen International has called Silber "one of Europe's hottest screenwriters".
In Germany, Silber's films and TV shows have broken audience records. His latest theatrical release, the best-seller adaptation "I'm Off Then", was seen by over 2 million viewers.

His 2016 crime episode Tatort: Swan Lake was the most watched German TV program of the year. Silber is currently developing feature film for LA-based Passage Pictures. In the UK, he recently co-wrote Private View with playwright Peter Nichols and upcoming romantic comedy Feeling Punjabi for producer Vijay Amritrage. Silber has extensive experience as a playwright for renowned stages such as the Vienna Burgtheater. His musical "Knocking On Heavens Door" collaborating with Grammy winner Alex Geringas opened in several countries in 2018.
Recently his mini-series "Balaton Residence" (ZDF) has won the Silver World Medal for International TV at the New York Festivals in 2018. In 2019 his mini-series Walpurgisnacht was a great success at the German Public Broadcasting Network ZDF.
